Product Description
Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 is a complete business server solution for small and medium companies. SBS 2003 can accommodate up to 75 users and supports a single domain without trusts. Specific Small Business Server Client licenses are purchased by user or by device. A single SBS 2003 Server license is purchased and all components are installed onto one server.
Small Business Server 2003 Standard Edition includes Windows Server 2003, Sharepoint, Exchange Server 2003, Outlook 2003, Routing and Remote Access, IIS, and Shared Fax.
Small Business Server 2003 Premium Edition includes everything in the standard edition plus SQL Server 2000 and ISA Server 2000. The premium edition is ideal for small businesses with more demanding IT needs, such as data-intensive line-of-business applications.
SBS is designed so that small businesses can acquire a cost effective integrated server software solution that is also easy to setup and maintain. Implement a secure, single source to house your data and applications. Also included is an internal firewall for internet connectivity, Shadow Copy and Backup services, and Outlook Web Access. The Premium version adds SQL server for databases, and Internet Security and Acceleration server for advanced firewall and internet access.
Small Business Server 2003 no longer supports running terminal services in application mode. A separate Windows 2003 server license must be purchased and installed on another computer as a member server.
